We ALL need HIM!

Amazing evening with the family last Wednesday. The hubby and I got to watch the kids eyes light up as we listened to 10 players from the Arizona Cardinals talk about how they have everything they could imagine yet, nothing without Jesus. They opened their hearts and shared their testimonies. This was at our regular Wednesday night service. We are part of a great church.

-People in high places need God too.

Press in!

Ever feel like God has linked you to a certain person for a reason? I feel that everyday when I wake up to my wonderful husband and children. I am so thankful for such an amazing family. There are times though that I feel stressed and don't want to put the weight on thier shoulders. I have always known but now like never before that God's comfort is like no other.

I played in the dirt! And out came a skirt!

I used an old t-shirt of my husbands for the under layer.

Through the trails and errors of this simple skirt, I have learned so much. Next time around it will be an easier process, no doubt. Why must I always learn the hard way? It's the best way I know how sometimes. This is a project I'd been contemplating for a while now. After reading a very encouraging email http://us1.campaign-archive.com/?u=a8d54b6cc495ed62834c4e432&id=5aff70daa1&eo=516197a281 (you must read) from Tara Gentile, I decided to dive in head first. Thank you Tara for helping me get dirt under my nails. I feel that divine sense of accomplishment.

Breath taking

This is just an amazing Foto! If I could be anywhere this morning, this would be the place. I was shocked to find that this is in PA. Thanks so much Tara Gentile for sharing. For more of her breath taking Fotos visit http://fotos.taragentile.com/

In-spi-ra-tion

stimulation or arousal of the mind, feelings, etc, to special or unusual activity or creativity

Inspiration comes in many different forms. Things that inspire me, may not inspire you. I am always looking for inspiration. I even keep a journal of things that tickle my creative nerve. I have pictures, drawings, articles, stuff from my kids, anything that keeps my creative wheels turning in there. It's been very helpful. When I'm feeling down or just have creative blockage, I like to pull that journal out. Often times I like looking at fellow Etsy members for inspiration too. Especially the Etsy articles, they're great.

Lately I have been blessed with a new kind of inspiration. I have had the honor of being featured on a Etsy treasury and a couple of blogs by fellow Etsy users. This honor alone can seem minimal to some, but not me. It's exciting and inspirational. My most recent experience is thanks to ifrogcrafts.blogspot.com. The most rewarding part of being featured was not to see my item displayed but to read how that item became a part of the post. Karalee's (creator of ifrogcrafts.blogspot.com) postings are heaven sent. You must read http://ifrogcrafts.blogspot.com/2010/10/returns.html. Thanks Karalee for inspiring me.

For the month of September our Pastor, Dr. Michael Maiden, did a 4 part sermon on Create. Reminding us that our lives are defined, controlled and limited by what we think and believe. When we change what we think and believe, it opens a door of new possibilities. Also, Without Him we can do nothing! Pumpkin Carving!

We have made some really amazing pumpkins over the years. We've tried to keep photos of most but there are some that didn't make the portfolio. Check out past years pumpkin carvings at http://knackcreations.blogspot.com/p/pumpkins.html

Our Awesome Kitchen...

My hubby sure can get down in the kitchen. He made pumpkin and pineapple empanadas. I made almond butter biscotti. It was all amazing. Along with the best cup of brew, (made by yours truly) ummmm.

Things are starting to come along. There has been a change in plans for my work area so we're still working on that. Trying to get geared up for Halloween crafts and so on. Tis that time. I'm so excited.

So distracted...

Distraction is ok every once and a while.  Espeacially if it's going to do you some good in the long run.  So my craft area is going to have to wait a little.  Off with the family, out of town for a bit.  It's great.  We've had our first monsoon.  Pretty cool.

New Work Space

Having new work space can be really tough. I realize I haven't posted anything in a while. Well things have really changed. For the best! I have gone from working full time to being stay at home mom. We have just moved out of state, so once things come to order it will be great. I will have mom/wife time and craft time (me time). Anyhow, this is what my work space looks like now. It's going to take some time to get organized but I can't wait to see the outcome. There are some downsides to my work area. It will be visible from the front door. This not only limits my ciaos but it also forces me to stay organized. I typically like to hang inspirational stuff on the wall. In my new area I will have very limited wall space. My husband is in the process of building my work table that will go against the window. Making our big move we decided to get rid of many things, my desk and chair are just to name a few. Let's just concider this a fresh new start. I'm excited about it.

Crafting for Sanity:

I often craft to keep sane. It helps me stay balanced and busy (as if I wasn't busy enough). As all moms know an outlet is a necessity. Crafting is my outlet & I love it. Naturally being a crafty person, I appreciate handmade goods and try to instill that quality in my children as well. I fell that it's important, especially with today's times. Buying handmade keeps us all in touch with humanity.
